Shay Mitchell is Canadian actress,model and businesswoman. Her most famous role was in the role of Emily Fields from the Freeform show Pretty Little Liars. After her success with modeling, dance and acting, she took acting classes. Mitchell landed several commercials and played guest roles in television shows prior to landing her debut character in the role of Emily Fields. Fans and critics lauded her skills as an actor. She went on to become a star in the world of big screen with films like DreamlandMother's Dayand The belonging of Hannah Grace. It was her role as a thriller with a psychological element in the series You which brought her greater notoriety. She is the author of an adult novel called Bliss which she co-wrote with Michaela Blaney. Her parents are Mark Mitchell (born April 10 in 1988) and Precious Garcia, raised her on the streets of Ontario Canada. The mother of Shay Mitchell was from the Philippines, and her father hailed from Irish as well as Scottish roots. Mitchell has also been identified as the relative of Lea Salonga - a famous musical theatre actress and singer. Mitchell was a student at Rockridge Secondary school before she moved into West Vancouver Secondary. The actress had already been modeling across the globe by her late teens. She traveled to Barcelona, Bangkok, and Hong Kong, ultimately returning home to Toronto and pursuing a degree in acting.
