Marcia has created a signature style based in character transformation. Millers Crossing was praised for the variety of her performance in films like The First Wives, Meet Joe Black and Mona Lisa Smile. The next film she will be in is as the mom of Christian Grey's in the highly anticipated Universal movie Fifty Shades of Grey. Valentine's Day has been chosen for the date of release for the film. Some recent productions include Elsa & Fred starring the famous Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plummer, the ABC comedy series Trophy Wife which starred Malin Ackerman, Bradley Whitford and Michaela Watkins and Woody Allen's Magic in the Moonlight, with Emma Stone, Colin Firth and Jacki Weaver. In the fall of this year, Harden reprised her role in the role of First Amendment attorney Rebecca Halliday in the critically-acclaimed guest star role on Aaron Sorkin's HBO series The Newsroom.
